We need a standardized build management process to improve at least the following aspects:
dependencies to 3rd libraries shouldn't be referenced on the local machine
better and more inituitive documentation of the build process
build management and project build process should be easier maintainable by third persons.
Because I expect we don't have to support special workflow features which are heavily to integrate in a based on conventions tool like Maven (sometimes a reason for ant and Ivy) we should give it a try.
