There is no license file in the repository. Under what license is hbl shared ?

License is completely unspecified. There's no license and therefore the original authors reserve all rights (which is obviously not GPL). However this may change in the future for obvious reasons.

Ping? Having a proper license here would be nice. People have already been contributing to it and forking it...
