Webcam default settings #92

Is there a way to set webcam's default brightness, contrast, etc? The webcam I
have at work isn't very good, and I need to tweak it's brightness and contrast
to get usable picture. The default one I get in qt face trainer is too dark to
be usable. I can use the camera, for example, in Cheese Webcam Booth, but only
after adjusting its settings.

According to my knowledge, OpenCV doesn't support the setting of brightness,
contrast etc. The only workaround would be to manipulate the provided image
stream and simulate these effects...

I have the same problem. Face detection is totally useless in evening/night on
my laptop. My laptop does not have flash light and webcam is no good.
Brightness/contrast setting below the face detection screen would help.
