Both treatments and knockout should be able to be both knock out and knock in #3

In mutations see both activating, gain of function mutations such as in Ras, as well as inactivating loss of function mutations such as in p53.

Treatments are almost always inhibiting nodes, but could also be activations and so there should be the option to consider these.

One problem this could introduce is to cause the table building phase to blow up - if a variable can be set to both the max and min of its range then vmcai can't collapse it, and this may lead to downstream genes also being affected.

I think we can let this go on treatments if we have to, but for mutations it is more important. Most cancers have both gain and loss of function mutations.
