Please clarify license #86

I found #31 issue related to opensource license. Is there any update for it?

Unfortunately, no. The original authors haven't been responsive and we haven't tried in a while to clarify the status.

I've reached back out to @ktossell, who I think may have been one of the original authors to see if he's willing to clarify the license status.

I talked with the original author over email, and they're okay with it being licensed as BSD 3-clause. I've updated the license file accordingly.
