some of you may know I've recently started a new company. I'm not ready to talk about -that- yet, but I did want to capture some notes on logistical stuff I have had to ramp up on as a first time founder. hopefully this helps somebody out there.

the following presume that you are going for a typical US venture backed SaaS startup type situation.

this is obviously a live situation so i will anneal this post over time

You might want to take a look at cakeequity.com for cap table mgmt :)

Justworks is great for payroll too. Gusto is more for classic SMBs vs. startups imo

Congrats on the new thing, looking forward to hearing more about it!

I'd also put Pulley (https://pulley.com/) on your radar for cap table. Been happy with them. Pretty happy with Rippling as well, went with them after hearing some Gusto horror stories. We use Vouch, it's cheap enough at seed stage that I didn't think it was even worth the time to comparison shop.

Doola is a great alternative to Stripe Atlas that is not only cheaper to set up initially but also for annual filing. Moreover, Doola offers more state options for incorporation.
