Hitting enemies lags the game #35

Whenever I hit an enemy the game lags for about half a second. Obviously,
with lots of enemies, this makes the game unplayable.

I tried violetland 0.3.0 on Arch Linux x86_64 and used all default
settings. The laptop I tried it on isn't too crappy at all and thus I would
consider this a bug. I'm using free radeon drivers (this might actually be
an issue but shouldn't).

Games like Urban Terror work just fine.

I experience this issue too. I am using proprietary nvidia drivers in Ubuntu
10.04.

Same problem over here too. I have up to a minute lag on new survival and 0.5
seconds on shooting enemies. OS is Ubuntu 10.04, graphic card Radeon X1650
(RV535) with xorg drivers.
However, on a different machine, also with Ubuntu 10.04, but with an Intel
graphic chipset (G41 I think) the gameplay is perfect.
Both machines have x64 architecture.

compiled from source).

Also no issues with Intel HD (new Intel Arrandale processors) under Mesa, and
with ATI Radeon HD 3470 under Mesa and under proprietary Catalyst drivers.
