We have ObservationId and the surrounding infrastructure to prevent different observation reductions from interfering with one another. It would be nice to extend this functionality to general reductions.

I think this would need to be added upstream to Charm++: https://charm.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq/manual.html#can-i-do-multiple-reductions-on-an-array
