This would be a good independent task for someone, especially someone with data science experience.

Goals We want to provide data in the following areas:

• Statistics on the map (registration trends, map coverage, user behaviour, etc)
• Statistics on the database (expiring events, new events, manager activity, etc)
• Insights for managers using those statistics to create actionable suggestions that could improve registration trends.
• A periodic email summary to country and regional managers with the most important statistics and insights for their area.
• A public page showing worldwide statistics that can give us insight on the overall success and value of the Atlas

What is currently implemented?

• Country and region pages have a basic graph of registrations over the past few months.
• A basic summary email is setup to be sent to country and regional managers, but this mainly includes info on recent manager behaviour in that region (recently expired events, new events, new managers, new subregions, etc)
• A simple public page showing map coverage and registrations over time - https://atlas.sydevelopers.com/statistics

Ideas

• The current registration graphs are too naive. It doesn't take into account the number of registrations compared to the number of events. If our quantity of events goes up, the raw registrations probably will too - but the actually interesting info is our conversion rate.
• The public statistics page should become a functional replacement for sahajavision.org based on real data. Possibly the page should be able to switch between different countries and show a breakdown of their territory / registrations.
• If we analyse registration numbers by comparing them to the usage of certain Atlas features (event images, registration type, description, custom name, event type) we could create suggestions to managers on how better use those features.
• Very advanced insights could be created by automatically checking things like the weather or upcoming holidays in a country.
• A third party service could be used to track these stats and create dashboards, but we also need to be able to extract that data to display on our statistics page and in summary emails.

@dbackeus @anton.tcymbal Do you guys have any thoughts on this topic. Especially pie-in-the-sky ideas that could take this data to the next level.
