M-x command? Major assumptions for beginners! #5

Lesson 1.2

  1. When you see the shell prompt, return in Emacs and resume your tutorial by typing: M-x evil-tutor-start.

First, terrible syntax makes it appear that you type this in the command line. That took 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Second. You don't describe at this point what M-x is. Is it done by escape? Who knows. It's not clear.

Could we get a push to refine this to make it clearer for people who are new to emacs or vim? Thanks.
