desktop-read screw up the theme in spacemacs

Reproduction guide :beetle:

It might have been fixed on the develop branch, because I'm not seeing anything strange with either of the default themes: spacemacs-dark or spacemacs-light

it still happens in the develop branch as well. it might be relating to an OS? I'm on MacOS while your system is on WindowsOS.

I tested it with Ubuntu 18.04.02 running in virtualbox, With the latest packages on the latest develop branch. And I'm not seeing any issues with either the spacemacs-dark or spacemacs-light themes.

It might also help if you could post a screenshot of what the theme issue looks like.

Do you see the mode-line color changed and the side bar turns to be black?

It's been for 3 years, and not sure this happens. I don't use desktop-save anymore. So, closing this issue for now. If new issue comes up, I will open a new one.
