Org-mode does not format buffer: File mode specification error: (invalid-function org-assert-version) #15983

Org-mode problem. It seems that the major mode does not work

Reproduction guide :beetle:

Observed behaviour: :eyes: :broken_heart: The file opens, but is not formated the way it should look, and a message appears: File mode specification error: (invalid-function org-assert-version)

Expected behaviour: :heart: :smile: <>

Thanks so much for fast reply. I read it before I post this issue; but I got lost. What is the street-man advice at the end?

Is the solution: rm ~/.emacs.d/elpa/28.2/develop/org/.elc
