I installed the latest version, which is 3.8.0beta1 (build 1187), but---same thing. I'm attaching a picture to make it clear what happens. I have two reports of people running 3.8.0beta1 (build 1187) on Windows 11 without any such problems. In my language settings on Windows 10, my keyboard is set up as US International.
Sorry---I closed it accidentally.
I wondered if GTK version 2 could be the culprit here. If we check Claws Mail, for example, whose last version is running GTK 3, we see it doesn't exhibit the problem. So I installed Claws Mail version 3.21.0 because this one was compiled against GTK+ 2.24.33---see image and full system information below. My hope was that the bug would be reproduced on Claws Mail 3.21.0 and we would have a stronger conjecture that the cause is GTK 2. Unfortunately, the evidence didn't go that way.
System Information GTK+ 2.24.33 / GLib 2.66.8 Locale: en_US (charset: ISO-8859-1) Operating System: Win32
I'm running Version 3.7.0 (Build 1185), GTK+ 2.24.30 / GLib 2.38.2, Operating System: Win32. My keyboard is well set up in Windows as US international keyboard. My language is Brazilian Portuguese. So when I press ' followed by c, I should get ç, just like I just did here in Google Chrome. However, in Sylpheed I get an accented c, which is not unsual to happen in a UNIX system when the keyboard isn't properly set up.
I could not see anywhere I could properly set this up in Sylpheed. Can you provide the directions? Thank you!
