Hi, if you've been following Prat repo, or if you've seen the beautiful outpouring of support ever since the news broke across the community, you'll know what I'm about to post here.

Sylvanaar has passed away, I volunteered to take over his repositories if he did not name a successor, but this process is likely to take some time. Your patience is appreciated, and feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to be a contributor.

All likelyhood pazza or I should take over WIM. the WIM chain of ownership was basically pazza (creator) then me then sylvanaar when I didn't have time. then slowly me and pazza got more involved again as sylvanaar didn't have time anymore. All 3 of us have put considerable time into project though. Prat though I never touched that was all sylvanaar. Ultimately though one of us just needs admin access so we can revise project settings and move project over to github actions packaging before travis packaging breaks (it's discontinued very soon)

We were definitely sadded to hear the news :(

I do see both of you in the history, I'd be glad to make sure it gets in the right hands. I'll contact you once I know what GitHub is willing to do. I'll likely give one or both of you admin access to maintain it without needing me. I don't play WoW but I worked very closely with Jon at Herbalife and I'm a gamer myself...I understand what a big deal he was in the community.

Thank you @Devinmarra , and having known him and working with him personally, my deepest condolences.

I was considering retiring this repo and forking it to my account where I'd give @MysticalOS admin to the repo. Let me know what the outcome is with GitHub and we can decide from there.

Devinmarra commented 3 years ago

That's likely the best way to go. I'm not getting a response from Github about a successor to his account. But Gil from Curseforge contacted me, he said he'd be willing to transfer Jon's stuff in Curseforge over to me, I'd then likely just transfer those projects to you so you can wire it up to your fork.

I'm not entirely sure if that's how it works, so if you have any advice I'm all ears. I have to also find people for Prat and his other repo, so I imagine the process will be the same. Find people, wire up the project, transfer over.

@Devinmarra @Pazza You should create a "Organization" and then fork all the repos in there IMO.

Devinmarra commented 3 years ago

That's a great idea. I'm going to do that today. I did get a response from GitHub but it's likely going to be a nightmare to get direct control. This is a better solution. Curseforge linking is a different story, we're in talks and don't want to put too much pressure on his family.

@Devinmarra as for WIM, I have access to it on Curseforge, I can change the repo location on it.
