Frsky vario/altimeter reset altitude #88

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
With Frysky hub and vario attached. Absolute see level altitude show on display.

To measure relative altitude we need to reset to zero. The altitude
programatically.

Best Regards
Tamas

PS FLD-02 has a same feature for this.

This makes perfect sense.

Bertrand ... I've assigned this to you because you understand the menu
structures so much better than me. I think the simplest way to do it would be
to make the ALT: field "editable" such that going to it and pressing [MENU]
will reset it. (This is the came as the "Cal" field works on the TRAINER
screen, for example.)

If you're too busy with more important stuff (by your own judgement of course)
then please either assign it back to me to try and fix some time soon -- or
just leave it until you have time. Thanks.

Yes, this one is for me. I remember asking to somebody to open it in the
project page.
I had in mind a simple reset to 0 on the screnn, by pressing the [EXIT SHORT]
button. Just as we do with timers, and min + max recordings in these telemetry
screens.

Hi,

MAX record would be awesome!!! Also with reset together with altitude.

Best regards
Tamas

Also i have a few feature in my mind, for example, motor cut off on a certain
altitude. And simple time limited motor cut off, these are would be very useful
for ALES and LMR practicing or competition.

Max: I will do
Virtual Switch based on all sensors results: will do
Simple time limited motor cut off: could you explain, it's dangerous, no?

Hi,

There are a quite lot LMR(limited motor run) glider competitions where
programatically
cut off the motor after a certain seconds ususally 30-45s. Then forbidden to
restart the motor, just in emergency case, or you get 0 points.

Its interesing to make an option to use "one-shot" mixes. To active the mix
only one time from timer/sensor values. :)

E'hem! ... actually, good sir, perhaps you could discuss with the other team
members before doing any of this? "Feature creep is our arch enemy!"

I do support it all in principal though -- especially the altitude part.

Port done from open9x. Also all features described in this issue are
implemented. Fully tested by Tamas himself. Let-me know if/when you would like
them to happen in gruvin9x and I will do the port.
