Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Tried to install the app from the 1.4 download. Then went back to site
and relized that 1.4 is only an update.
2. Tried to install the app from the 1.2 download.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of installing, the install halts at the install screen and says
"You cannot continue. There is nothing to install."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Soundflower 1.21 on Mac OS X 10.4.11 Dual 2.7Ghz.

Please provide any additional information below.

There should be a way to tell the installer that it's okay to downgrade. I'm
not sure if the flag needs to be set in
both the 1.2 installer and the 1.4 installer, or only the 1.4 installer -- it
needs to be researched.

Installer now has the flag set to allow installed components to be downgraded.
Also, because of the uninstaller
being included it is possible to force a downgrade by uninstalling and then
reinstalling the desired version.
