I have been pulling just the HTML files into the gh-pages
branch, but that may be too prone to error, so if we mirror the branches, that's fine with me.
I tried mirroring the master
branch for the gh-pages
branch, but I've been getting errors from GitHub and the HTML is not getting properly deployed. So, I'm not sure how to get around the issue. I even tried adding the .nojekyll file, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
I've fixed up the links, but since I am having little success deploying them to GitHub pages, I am testing the files on my own domain for now.
It looks like I was able to fix the issue with GitHub pages. I like not having to wait up to 10 minutes for jekyll to process the files by turning jekyll off. HTML pages are deploying immediately to GitHub.
Just for your information: the navigation links on the Github Pages' version are not correct for the discussions. They either point to
/community/
or/discuss/
.My guess is that this is just because the
gh-pages
branches is behindmaster
.I've seen that I've got push rights for this repos: how should we deploy to
gh-pages
? Should only the static HTML pages be pushed there or should the entiremaster
branch be mirrored?
