I'm unsure if you like it this way, but it's just me requesting an improvement. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I honestly kind of like the goofiness in some of them, but this as a whole is really good.

^ I can understand that but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, tbh, that was one of the complaints that we had about Discord if you remember. I like the goofiness of them too and anyways if you want this by any means to be a proper language, it must get a translation system some day. So, en_US could be this that Mnpn made, but goof_FU could be yours. Just putting ideas out there.

Mnpn commented 6 years ago

^ I vouch for this. Indeed it's funny to have Discord-like jokes, but some people might want it "professional", but translations seem great!

(and i'd rather work in en_UK thanks)

I don't remember complaining about Discord's goofiness, only the way they advertise it for gamers even though it's usable by everyone.

That's funny, I was thinking a little about adding translations too. Is that needed for the server? Should it be done sooner rather than later? What's the fastest way to look up keys with values? How do we handle format strings?

ttofis commented 6 years ago

Translations, you said what I am about to say, should be done before there are too many strings to format it to. The server doesn't need translations. It is just adding unnecessary delay to it. But the client 100% needs translations. Including fun translations like good, pirate and such

@Mnpn03 I'd personally say you should revert the two lines which are currently commented on to keep a slight goofiness, and the rest should get merged.
