Hi, I have tried iOS 8.0,8.0.1 & iOS 9.0. I get an error after restore appears to complete saying 'error in libbelladona.c:937 "No device found." Failed to restore IPSW.'

synackuk commented 4 years ago

Can you post the whole log?

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk I can't as I no longer have it. Basically the device successfully restores and does everything correctly. The program then says done and when I click the back button to go to boot up the device the error appears in terminal.

synackuk commented 4 years ago

If it restores properly does the device boot when you use boot tethered?

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk No it boots to recovery mode.

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk it fails to upload iBEC during tethered boot.

synackuk commented 4 years ago

in which case how did it successfully restore

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk The log says restore status finished and then says done. It's after I click the back button after that. That's when it fails.

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk after the restore is complete the device blacklight turns on but that's it.

@synackuk This is the log from the part is fails at. See below.

@synackuk now the device will execute iBEC during tethered boot and will execute everything else to enable the boot, however it stills boots into recovery mode.

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

@synackuk any news?

synackuk commented 4 years ago

Very odd you get successful restore followed by no device found. Not immediately obvious what's caused that

4n0r3w97 commented 4 years ago

Hi,

Having successfully restored and booted iOS 9.3.5 (the only firmware that does) I believe that I could be to do with the part of the code responsible for tether booting the device. I say this as I am able to boot up other versions of iOS as they boot to recovery mode when tethered booting. I then manually boot up the device using instructions from Ch3rryflower. Below I have attached a link to the instructions so you can see how I did it.

https://github.com/dora2-iOS/ch3rryflower/tree/master/Tools/macos/TETHERED

The instructions are towards the bottom.

@4n0r3w97 Seems to be either an issue with the restore not working properly or the boot then right enough. Will investigate
