Not connected to network. #603

Hello,

a few years back I bought an ODROID HC1/2 form the online shop and I used it ever since without any major problems. A month ago, I had to disconnect the ODROID from the power outlet. After that, I was not able to connect to my syncloud via the internet or directly using the home network it is connected to. The old IP address doesn't work any longer and a new one is not assigned. The red/blue/green LEDs are constantly on (no flashing). The LED on the ethernet port is flashing. The only solution is to format the SD card and start all over. I use my syncloud to host nextcloud data and my bitwarden vault on the device. If power is lost and I'm away I'm no longer able to access my data from the device which is really annoying.

I don't have any of these problems with other devices on the network. Due to the fact that I had to replace my defective network router and the problem still persists I would also say that the router is not responsible for these problems.

Any ideas?

Bye.

Did you use the correct image for sd card? https://github.com/syncloud/platform/releases/download/21.01/syncloud-odroid-xu3and4-sd-21.01.img.xz

Also if that does not help probably SSD disk has failed, try another disk and this image: https://github.com/syncloud/platform/releases/download/21.01/syncloud-odroid-xu3and4-21.01.img.xz

Just to understand if you can run fresh empty system. If that works and you store data on external disk you just activate external disk and it should be good again.

I will buy another one and try again, if that happens again.

The server is running again with the image of your 2nd link with a new SanDisk SD card. I will report back, if that happens again.
