Service Menu - Neo Geo Games

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Load up any Neo Geo game.
2.Input button config for service menu.
3.Results in blank/black screen; have to exit the emulator.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should bring up Neo Geo service menu (change game settings etc)

What version of the Pi's O/S?

Please provide any additional information below. Also attach the output.log
if you can.
1. Inputing service menu config via Xbox 360 controller via xboxdrv driver.
2. This config works fine with CPS roms.
3. Tried with mutiple Neo Geo roms, same result.

I am having the same issue. When I use unibios (3.0, also tried older versions) 
and access the service menu (a+b+c) I only see the NEO GEO logo at the top of 
the screen and no service menu. I am not able to proceed and I'm forced to exit.

I am able to access the unibios menu while in-game (start+a+b+c). Ideally, I 
want to run the game in AES mode with unibios, but it defaults to MVS mode.

Attached is the menu that should come up, but all I see is the white Neo Geo 
logo on top.

This looks like two different issues - the original issue refers to the Neo Geo 
service menu, while the comment refers to the Universe Bios menu.

However, I believe both are a problem with the installed bios file.  Try to 
find a neogeo.zip that's around 260KB.  That should solve the first problem - 
the service menu should be accessible.

Install the universe bios into that neogeo.zip, and the second problem should 
be solved as well.
