Maybe use an instance of processwire, Open source PHP CMS ? Maybe be a bit overkill.

I had setup a BigCartel account (the same merch platform that Matrix uses) but I wanted to see if maybe just making a spreadshirt shop - like Pidgin - would be less effort: https://shop.spreadshirt.com/imfreedom

Nice thing about BigCartel, it seems like we could deploy a site with our content listed by item ID, and the cart could be a widget that ties into whatever page we make. Not 100% on any of this since I researched this a long, long while ago lol
