Error installing tellurium 2.1.6 #458

Using pip to install tellurium 2.1.6 in MacOS Catalina in a fresh virtual environment with python 3.6 results in the following error:

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tesbml>=5.18.1 (from tellurium) (from versions: 5.15.0, 5.15.0.1) ERROR: No matching distribution found for tesbml>=5.18.1 (from tellurium)

When I tried to install tellurium 2.1.5 it worked fine.

I think this is because the pip installer hasn’t been set up for older Mac OS operating systems. We’ll need to release a new version. Lucian Smith is away this week but when he gets back he can look at getting a new version out. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My mistake, Catalina is the latest OS (not a Mac user). In that case this is a libsbml distribution error. We’ll take a look next week when Lucian is back.

Unfortunately not, the developer who built the Mac version is just back from a trip and I will forward this email to him to take a look.

Just a note to say that I'm back and am now working on getting a Mac release out the door. I'll let you know when it's ready!
