Alias creation

1) Make a back up of wallet.dat 2) Create a new Alias 3) Alias shows in my alias 4) Delete wallet.dat and replace with back up. 5) Alias no longer shows in my alias, Alias info ISMINE = False and the address ISMINE = False 6) However the Alias creation is still showing in Trans I will screenshot this in 2.1.4 as it is easier to see

Weird just checked today and yes I was fully synced

Just tried again and the same issue

Once again after a couple of days it is now showing

you can try to generate some new addresses after you see this as you are using an HD wallet and it should give that same address associated with your alias. The issue was when you restored your backup the new address was gone, even though you have the master HD key it doesn't know about your new alias child key until you generate it again by creating a new address again. Just the way HD wallets work, and without it, you wouldn't be able to re-generate that same key again so this won't work on non-HD wallets anyway and with HD wallets there is this slight inconvenience.

Ok will try that but why does it appear after a couple of days without me doing anything?

My two aliases disappeared from the list. One of them has now ismine=false, other one does not. Both of them have linked addresses I have no access to. I created a new address, and the alias with ismine=true reappeared in alias list in Core client, but not in Blockmarket.

Also my first address now shows double amount of coins, and newly created addresses all show the same real amount.

Ok i carried out what Sid suggested and the Alias and address showed up

Ok, I created a new alias instead of a simple address, and my aliases also showed up. Although, coins are no longer linked with them, they are again in "All accounts".
