With my current laptops, I take a full-sized keyboard everywhere I go. "Weight-saving" keys won't save me weight at all.
Give us a full-sized, STANDARD ANSI keyboard layout, like the IBM Model M or the Das Keyboard Model S. End users already have a muscle memory for this layout.
Give us buckling springs or Cherry MX Brown or Blue switches, with full-length travel. Again, a thin laptop doesn't save me space because I'm currently bringing a second keyboard.
A standard layout could easily fit in the form factor of a 17 inch laptop.
If you do this, I PROMISE you this will be my next laptop.
