Could you make the length of the SD card slot longer, so a standard sized inserted card was flush with the laptop case?
Currently, the SD card slot is short enough that the card sticks out a bit. This makes it very easy to bump the card and eject it by accident. My old laptop had a deeper slot that made the card flush with the surface, so it could be left in and used as a file backup.
An addional feature could be a flip out button for ejecting the card, rather than the press to eject method.
Personally, I've stopped using the SD card altogether because I use my laptop on my lap and the card keeps getting ejected.
