4K screens for 17" laptops #96

Why/User Benefit/User Problem

The screen is so big, it would be nice to have more pixels on it to take full advantage of the real estate.

Description of the feature

4K displays, especially for the lower-end 17" laptops. I don't want to have to buy a Serval just to get a 4K display. :)

I have a 17" laptop with a now rare 3k resolution. This is an excellent resolution for this screen size. But I also vote for 18" or 19", bezel-less, 3k or 4k as that would be great. I would use 3k or 4k 18" or 19" for integrated GPU/long battery life for work/browsing/streaming on the go, then plug into eGPU at home/work desk for gaming/3D work.

4K screen for my tired old eyes. Am running 3K now on my Galago Pro ... would not consider another laptop without 3K or 4K screen!!! :-)
