This is on FreeBSD 7-PRERELEAE, with rtGui 0.2.2, libtorrent 0.12, rtorrent
0.8.

The space showed by rtGui is way off compared to rtorrent's actual display.

Look and compare both screenshots attached.

I've seen in another post here that upgrading xmlrpc-c to the advanced version
(1.13.x) should solve the issue, unfortunately there is no such port in
FreeBSD....
and I am stuck with 1.06.23.

I've submitted a bug report to the FreeBSD ports list with the hopes that
xmlrpc-c
will get updated or a -devel port will be built. We'll wait and see...

You need to get xmlrpc, libtorrent and rtorrent with svn.

first of all deinstall the ports by going to /ports/... and make deinstall for
the 3
packages.
Then isntall svn, svn checkout the svn tree to your disk, make and make install
them.
first make xmlrpc, then make libtorrent and finally make rtorrent. Worked like a
charm for me on freebsd 7.0 rc1

Thanks,

I know that the latest svn tree works but this is only helping you or me. A
later
xmlrpc-c port should still be made (aka xmlrpc-c-devel) so that you don't need
to
install from the svn when you have the ports system. Installing rtgui and
xmlrpc from
the ports breaks things and we don't want that.
