Provide "update" action for transactions (was: Posting date not recorded in CiviCRM w/ automatic direct debit) #80

This issue affects donations via twingle with the payment methods "automatic direct debit".

Currently, the contribution date is set on the time when the donation was received. The posting date is usually a few days later. This is recorded in twingle, but not in CiviCRM. For correct accounting and donation receipts transferring the posting date is required.

Unfortunately there is only one contribution date. Any thoughts about changing the received date to the posting date?

This would require updates of transactions, which we've already discussed with twingle, but decided to put on hold until someone can provide funding for it. This update API action would include

payment references for credit card payments
status (completed, receipted, etc.)
payment date (your use case, @mariav0)

There will also be update actions for recurring contributions (payment contracts), and contact data, as those can be altered within the twingle configuration.
