How do you translate Quranic verse? #9

Ofcourse it is known that translating Quranic verse needs extra caution. So how do you do it? I am thinking about referring to Quran Kemenag because it should be the official translation made by the government, but still open to any suggestion.

I strongly suggest we use the same resource(s) for translating Quranic verse to maintain coherence throughout the project.

I myself prefer using quran.com

So we have 5 options:

  1. Indonesian islamic affairs ministry (MUI I guess?)
  2. King Fahd Quran Complex
  3. Indonesian Mokhtasar
  4. The Sabiq Company
  5. Kemenag version

I guess we need to read who's each version's translator and decide which one aligns with us the most. wdyt @sywprabu?

Can you provide the link for each option so we may refer to the same resources?

@sywprabu it's in the link I provided but behind some options, except the Kemenag one that you mentioned.

I am sorry I didn't check it thoroughly. I will let you know after I do some checkings.

Our course of making the decision might take some variables to consider. I will also try asking questions to some people with post-graduate degree in Tafsir.

So my next comment will be about my own personal considerations about each translation, and maybe commentary or considerations from those experts. In syaa Allah.
