Create group dialog intermittently works #17

Something weird is fighting the service on the back end and attempting to double save to the DB. need to dig in further

idk if you fixed it or something, but I'm not getting that bug when creating groups with the group create dialog. Maybe I fixed it when refactoring it, not sure. Leaving this open for now
