There is a bug in Gothic 2, where the key strokes/mouse movements of the player manipulate the rotation of NPCs that are performing attack runs. This is rather a minor bug. However, it becomes quite an issue with free aiming. Since the player may be stationary and constantly aiming at their target, the corresponding mouse movement will give the NPC no chance of hitting the player.
