I've excluded anything i think might break compatibility with older arduino boards, but have not exhaustively tested. Changes add lots of explanation, pretty printing, and try to make the whole process more intuitive.

just remembered you prefered to leave out the pins_used but i included it in the pull request. If you'd like me to make a new pull request without that lmk.
