hrm, I just downloaded the beta and my UA parse worked, with the UA string:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 (x86_64); rv:2.0b4) Gecko/20100818 Firefox/4.0b4

Where did you get this download? or was it a fresh compile?

Hi i'm using Ubuntu and since there is no firefox 4 in the official 
repositories i use this ppa : 
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa
