Using a darkened version of the lightmode colours will make it easy for those who use lightmode to shift to darkmode
How to invert:
1) rgb can be converted to hsb (using https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/color/rgb-to-hsv.html)
2) b can be inverted while h and s are maintained (x% becomes (100-x)%)
This produces the inversion effect.
