Precocking (piston position) in T238 V.141 (the one with capacitor) and V1.42 (no capacitor) #13

Hello, thank you for giving me the opportunity to ask. I have 3 replicas with T238 v.1.41 (black board, with capacitor) and 1 with a newer v.1.42 (no capacitor), all mechanical switch based.

I would like to activate pre-cocking in semi mode (menu 4 in programming, if i am correct)

In the v1.42 it works nicely (menu 4 beeps--> 10 beeps) = nicely precocked

however, in version 1.41 v (the one with the capacitor) the same menu does not seem to produce a precocking effect. I tried menu 4 beep -> 2-15 beeps, but i see no effect in any of the 3 replicas using this version of the DTU. also tried 7.4v for slower cycle and 11.1 v lipo.

Maybe i am in an incompatible setting for this version (1.41)? Also, for the 1.41 manual, it says "maximum 6 options" for the position of the piston option, but the DTU beeps also 15 times in this menu. in the v1.42, the manual mentions 2-15 beeps for the menu. i have: battery protection: 11.1v semi = semi auto = 3 round burst position of the piston = 2 to 15, no effect single shot delay= no delay Firing rate = 100%

the same in the 3 replicas with this DTU version installed. setup is very normal, high torque M140 or specna advanced motor, always M110 or lower spring. Help would be appreciated to achieve precocking in the version 1.41 (with capacitor). thanks a lot!

I also had to change the fire switch to the one of this link, since the original is rather flimsy and does a lot of double shots when the shooter is not careful on the return distance. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000144851611.html Its a little bit tight in the space, but it is a more reliable trigger, looks like the one for the selector plate.

Best regards, Ronny
