Issues with changing output device #53

You need to manually change sound source from built-in output to codec output in settings>sounds to get the wired headphones working. External USB mic works for me. Are you using a USB Mic as well?

In settings>sounds, the only output device shown is 'Multichannel'

The mic I am using goes through the headphone jack

I have configured the sound using the guide. No changes.

Did you restart after configuring?

Thanks. Fixed. Restarting three times seemed to do the trick. Perhaps this might be a localized issue but sometimes when I reboot from Terminal, it gets stuck and doesn't actually reboot, the screen just turns dark and logs out.
