Tool to Rename Groups of Files

Description:

• I would like a tool that allows me to rename groups of files
• I'd like this incorporated into the image scanner
• I'd like to include a guide to suggest an optimal max size of the filename
• I'd like this tool to be usable separately from the image scanner so that I can take a folder of images and rename them without necessarily scanning them into the database
• I want to rename files using a base name with an iterative image number at the end
• I'd like to consider having the image scanner rename files as they are scanned to coincide with the IDs they are assigned during scanning, and to keep the original filename in the metadata stored in the database
