Scrolling issues when creating or renaming items #102

TE 17.10.11 64 bit on Win 7 x64. View mode is "Details", sorted by name.

When viewing a folder with many files (vertical scrollbar is displayed) . . .

Issue 1) When a file is renamed, the file list does not auto scroll to the new location of the renamed file. The file list automatically refreshes after the rename, but the scroll position does not change. This causes the file to disappear from the current view. To demonstrate the issue, simply rename "a test file.txt" to "z test file.txt".

In contrast, Windows Explorer will automatically change the scroll position so the renamed file is visible. I think that behavior is preferable.

Issue 2) When making a copy of a file in the same folder, the file list is automatically refreshed, and it automatically scrolls to the end of the list. This causes the new item to disappear from the current view. To demonstrate the issue, just copy an item and paste it into the same folder.

In contrast, Windows Explorer will scroll the file list as needed to make sure the new item is in view. I think this behavior is preferable.

In general, my expectation is that any time a file is created or renamed, the file list should automatically refresh and automatically scroll to the location of the newly created/renamed item, and the item should be automatically selected.

I want some more information.

When reporting a problem, please be specific. https://www.penflip.com/LightTempler/tablacus-explorer/blob/master/when-reporting-a-problem-please-be-specific.txt

Best regards,

I don't know what more information you want. I provided steps to demonstrate each issue. Just try it and you will see. These behaviors are not system dependent. TE behaves the same way on Windows 7 and 10.

Here's the info from the machine that I'm currently on. This is a fresh install with only the default add ons. It works the same as I described earlier.
