double clicking on file attempts to rename it instead of opening it #321

Hi, when I haven't used Tablacus for a while and then double click a file, the explorer attempts to rename it instead of opening it. If immediately then I double click a second file it opens it normally. Any ideas what the issue is? (attached is a pic of mouse options in the explorer) image

I have not encountered this issue.

Please read this and let me know your environment. https://github.com/tablacus/TablacusExplorer/wiki/report-problem

Specifically, how long does it occur if you leave it out?

Regards,

That is normal behaviour. Not only with TE, but for example File Explorer too: When you slow double-click a file or folder, it will open the in-place rename. When TE is running in the background (=not the foreground application), the first click will activate the program. The second click will be a little delayed, causing this behaviour.

"Workaround": activate TE first, for example by clicking it's title bar and then double-click your file or folder.

Thanks @tablacus. It seems to happen if I'm using another app and then come back to TE after a minute. This is the information: TE64 20.8.13 Windows 10 Home 1909 (10.0.18363) Dark IE11 en_us 120 Avast Antivirus Windows Defender Avast Antivirus. These are the Add-ons I have: mouse, key, addressbar, filterbar, back, forward,up,treeview, toolbar, mainmenu, titlebar, tabplus, multithread, remember, undoclosetab, foldersettings, noemphasis, darkmode, duplicatecopy

Thanks @gepruts. This still happens even when TE is "activated"!

Most recently I reported a similar issue (#317), which has already been fixed. Try the latest version.

Thanks @timarupopoka , I updated but the issue is still there. I'll try reinstalling. Should I delete everything and install again?
