disable default add-on "Segoe Fluent Icons"

Thanks for setting me on the right track. What you suggested only fixed the "Tree" icon but I found out how to change the others. However, I have been left with a minor annoyance, I have changed the icons for Back and Forward but when they appear in Tablacus they lose their colour and appear grey. I have tried a couple of different icons and the same thing happens. I must be missing something, any suggestions? Tony

I am on Windows 7 and I don't know that my suggestion does not fully work on Windows 11. Please show me some screen captures of your TE (e.g. TE window, "Icon" tab of Back/Forward add-on, etc.) so that I can diagnose. Also remind that Back/Forward buttons become grey if there is not any back/forward page, like Windows Explorer.

Unfortunately, Windows 11 does not have those icons unlike Windows XP to Windows 10. If you want such icons, please prepare images.

Regards,

Hi ccfs, After seeing your comment about Back/Forward buttons becoming grey if there is no relevant page I experimented and that seems to be the answer. I can now see the left arrow in red in the right conditions. Will experiment further with the right arrow.

I presume there is no way of turning this "feature" off, so they show the colour all the time?

Thank you for your help. Tony

TE reuses the icons in Windows and Internet Explorer (IE). Windows 11 does not have IE and thus some color icons are not available to TE.

You have to get color icons elsewhere and specify them in "Icon" tabs of add-ons. image

You can find lots of icons on the Internet, including: https://icons8.com/ https://dryicons.com/ https://www.flaticon.com/

TE supports PNG and SVG icons.

Hi ccfs, Yes I am aware of that, and have already added several colourful icons to the toolbar. It was just the greying out of the Back & Forward icons I was trying to get around. Only a minor thing and I can live with it if that is the way it works.

ccfs commented 1 year ago

Alternatively, @tablacus should add those missing icons to "Tablacus PNG" icon pack. Then users will be able to get colored icons back more easily (no need to specify the icons one by one on Icon tab of add-ons).

Hi,

I am looking for help with the Run at Exit addon. I am trying to set it to run the “Close other Tabs” command when I close Tablacus. But so far have had no success, can you help?

Regards

Tony

It should work if you set up like this: image

Note that the "Browse" button of "Run on exit" add-on does not work properly (it should have show up a relevant menu or a dialog box according to "Type"). You have to type in "Close other tabs" manually.

The problem of the Browse button has been solved. You can download a patched version here.
