Incremental Refresh with WDC 3.0 #43

We tried to create a connector based on WDC 3.0 since the one we are using is based on WDC 2.0 and therefore deprecated. After several contacts with support we were told Quote: "For now any users using a WDC for incremental refresh, should use the 2.0 framework"

However, the Web Data Connector documentation reports this "This site is for version 3.0 of the Web Data Connector (WDC) SDK, which is compatible only with Tableau 2022.3 and later. Version 2.x of the WDC SDK will be deprecated in Tableau 2023.1 and eventually retired. We will still support WDC 2.x until its last compatible version of Tableau goes End of Life and is no longer supported." webdataconnector documentation This means that it is no longer possible to upgrade the Tableau version until the incremental refresh is resolved. Is it possible to have some information about it? When is this implementation planned for? This is a very critical issue, because for us, a wdc without incremental refresh, is not usable. Thanks

Seems they are intent on having people ditch wdc all together. I also wrestled with this for hours today trying to get it to work and was not able to.

Eventually we gave up on that whole approach and will consider paying a premium to use aws glue and aws athena to get our data into tableau.
