The feature request

Please add the ability to display the contents of the Report Explorer and Data Model Explorer in a JSON view.

Proposed solution

Implementation Ideas:

Split the content of the tab into "Properties" and "JSON" subtabs, similarly to the Report Inspector\Details\JSON subtab.
Add a "View JSON" button to open a new window, displaying the JSON content.

Thought of another method to implement - Add a JSON Explorer tab to the Report/Data Model Explorer tabset. The JSON Explorer tab would include a dropdown selection with options for "Report", "Data Model", "Page Properties", etc. Selection of an item would display the JSON content below.
