Are Tachyons dead? #689

Closed tkafka closed 3 years ago

Hello, I can see useful PRs being added, upvoted ... and then not merged at all.

Eg. https://github.com/tachyons-css/tachyons/pull/631, https://github.com/tachyons-css/tachyons/pull/673, https://github.com/tachyons-css/tachyons/pull/625 ...

Is there someone who has write access and is willing to merge the PRs?

Hey, I hate to say it, but you’re wasting your time. I have spent years using Tachyons, but the team here has been resistant to any changes that don’t solve their own immediate issues. They’ve also stated that Tachyons is essentially feature complete and that we shouldn’t expect much in the way of features or updates

I’m done spending any energy whatsoever on Tachyons and have moved to Tailwinds, which is similar in all the places it matters, is infinitely more customizable, and has active developers who are open to discussions.

Tachyons RIP.

@dangayle Thank you, Dan - I love how Tachyons are ready to use (just add it from unpkg), Tailwind needs to add a compilation step without which it's huge, and I love to keep things simple in my projects.

Thanks for linking #645, I might do with a generator linked there :).
