There is no need to pay for a Service Address to shield directors, as this address can be the same as the Registered Office address. The only reasons why it is possible to use one or more service addresses are the following:
Also keep in mind that with any provider (crunch included), only official mails from HMRC and Companies houses will be forwarded to you, all the other correspondence will be sent back to the sender.
Why? Because mail forwarding services start from £90/month, Registered Office/Service addresses cost 28-49/year.
As I do not want to link any company in particular (and thus increase their visibility) just google for the following to get an idea of what addresses can be used when setting up a company and why:
"it is quite common for the service addresses of officers to be the same as the company’s enlisted office address"
If you decide to pay for the extras and have all your mail forwarded to you, the address you buy can be specified as "correspondence address" or "shareholder address".
Keep in mind that providers usually do not allow you to use their address as your "Trading address", so ask beforehand.
Thanks, Malcolm 🏆
