when I have multiple missed calls on screen and I have alert window set to NOT 
auto-delete when receiving a call I am having trouble finding the window that 
is actually the active calling one so as to to be able to answer the call 
promptly.  I  am thinking that some way of high-lighting or bringing to the 
front the current alert window would reduce my searching.

Are you using Growl? You can bring up call window by clicking on Growl 
notification.
