First of all, thanks a lot for this little pearl. So useful and not cluttering
my screen one bit!
I would love to see Growl click context of callbacks implemented in a way, that
i could set a preference in Telephone.app where i could set the path to a
script i'd like to be called when a click callback from Growl is received.
Telephone.app should then launch the defined script and pass what it knows e.g.
about an incoming call (Name looked up in AddressBook and Caller ID) to the
script as parameters.
That way, whoever needs it could script it's own simple CTI (computer telephony
integration) applications like for example, open a Text Document ready for the
call to be logged or open Highrise in Safari with the correct contact already
selected, display a the callers Avatar on screen etc…
This could be pretty generic, so people could use AppleScript, Perl, Ruby or
whatever they want.
What do you think?
