Hi,
Try asking in https://launchpad.net/canonical-multitouch to get official
support.
By the way Canonical is investing all their efforts on Mir and it looks like
uTouch (and therefor Touchégg) are destined to disappear.
If you want to get a good trackpad and fully supported and tested I´d suggest
you buying the Apple Magic Trackpad.

I would get the Magic Trackpad if it were not so bloody expensive. It's amazing
how Apple gets away with charging so much for their trackpad, keyboards and
whatnot.
For the rest of us, the Logitech T650 (unknown manufacturer?) and the Perixx
702 (Elantech) seemed to be the more viable alternatives, as far as I'm a aware
anyhow.
I'm not too knowledgeable on the issue but when the time for Mir comes
hopefully there will be a decent replacement for Touchegg/uTouch.
As far as I know the Perixx works out of the box on Windows, at times I wish
Linux wasn't so fragmented and such a hassle to configure.
I've been tinkering with the Elantech on my laptop for most part of the day and
have managed to get 3 finger swipe to work. With xSwipe and a modified
Synaptics BTW. With Touchegg it's no joy so far. I have yet to figure it out.
BTW I ran touchegg-gce-git under KDE/Archlinux and the GUI looks very different
from the videos and images on the wiki section here.
