[Suggestion] Allow players to opt-in/out of flair accumulation (while keeping stats on) #296

I don't know if you guys still check this, but this isn't important enough to bring up elsewhere anyway lol. I have no idea how much work this would require. It's not a big deal. But here's the general idea...

I think "smurf" accounts have evolved. It seems to me that few of them are good players actively trying to deceive other players. Instead, most are doing things like chasing rolling 300 stats, trying out a new account with fresh stats now that they're an experienced player, etc.

Obviously these players would like to have stats on and would like to earn Rolling 300 flairs. But I don't think it's important to them that they can track their degrees as they do so. The reason I bring this up at all is because it's harmful for genuine new players when extremely experienced/good players are frequently using 2/3/4th accounts with very low degree totals. So if there was an easy way to distinguish between new account vs new player, I think that could be beneficial.

Like I said, not a big deal. But I was thinking that if "smurfs" had the option of turning off degrees/degree flairs while still playing with stats/rolling 300 flairs, I bet they'd take it. Even if I'm overstating the potential upsides, I can't really think of any downsides. (Unless it's a lot of work.)

I think it's a great and simple idea, with the exception of it being harder to see whether someone has stats on or off. But thats a minuscule downside as one can still see it on the scoreboard (stats-off means no rank points). This could be made clearer though, maybe by replacing the - for no rank points by stats-off or something.

I can't see how this will take a lot of work, as it could be just a visual setting (hiding the degree). But certainly more than the volume slider as it requires updates to the game, the setting-page, and the database (for storing the setting).
