One thing that would let power users create for themselves some of the features they might want is if you could use Tasker to set a variable, which tagtime then uses as its starting set of tags. I don't know enough about Tasker plugins to be sure, but presumably this could be done by adding Tasker plugin code to tagtime.
I'm not actually sure how useful this is, but it is probably a more general solution to things like #79 than actually building that into tagtime, and it would have the flexibility that people could then use it in ways we might not even predict.
